If you are looking to extend your vacation, there are a number of beaches and attractions to visit close to Merida. We are also happy to provide you with our free Travel Concierge. The Travel Concierge team can help you find accommodations, book day trips, rent vehicles, etc., and are a great resource to use for any logistical questions. They are available in English and Spanish.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you. We ask that you please RSVP by November 8th, 2024 to ensure that everyone is accounted for!
Merida has its own international airport called Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport that connects to many large cities/airports. The most common direct routes travel through Miami, Mexico City, Dallas or Houston.
We will be providing buses and shuttles to and from the events (Welcome Party and Wedding), leaving from the Wayam Munda Imperial hotel and the Hyatt Merida. We would advise you to book a room in one of these hotels, or reserve an AirBnB near those locations.
While it is not required (we will be providing transportation to and from the events), you may want to rent a car if you are planning on taking day trips to nearby attractions or would like more freedom to move around as you please.
Yes, Uber is available and is widely used within downtown Merida. That said, we would not advise planning on Ubering at the end of the Welcome Party or Wedding, given these locations are further from downtown Merida and it may take a while to contact a driver.
While we love kids, we are hoping to have an adults-only wedding except for close family. If you’re able to, we recommend that you leave your kids at home but if that is not an option, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.
February is one of the driest months in Merida, and you should expect little rain. The temperature at this time of year is very pleasant, fluctuates between 19°C and 25°C (66°F and 77°F).
The Welcome Party will be Cocktail attire (navitage to this link for example outfits), while the Wedding will be Tropical Chic Formal attire (navitage to this link for example outfits). For the wedding, this means women should wear jumpsuits or floor length dresses, and men should wear suits (ties are optional!). We also encourage women to wear color and if possible, no black.
Please note that stilettos or thin heels are not advised for either of these events as the Welcome Party will be on grass and the Wedding is in an old hacienda with uneven ground.
