GUEST Q&A

When should we arrive to Merida?

If your schedule permits, we would love to begin our wedding celebrations with you on Thursday, February 6th. This means that you should plan on arriving to Merida no later than that afternoon, as the Welcome Party will begin around 4-5pm (schedule to be finalized soon).

What airport should I fly into?

Merida has its own international airport called Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport that connects to many large cities/airports. The most common direct routes travel through Miami, Mexico City, Dallas or Houston.

Do we need a Visa to get into Mexico?

US passport holders do not need a visa to travel to Mexico. If you are a passport holder of a different country, please navigate to this website for additional information. Please navigate to this website for additional information.

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

We will be providing buses and shuttles to and from the events (Welcome Party and Wedding), leaving from the Wayam Munda Imperial hotel and the Hyatt Merida. We would advise you to book a room in one of these hotels, or reserve an AirBnB near those locations.

Do I need to rent my own car?

While it is not required (we will be providing transportation to and from the events), you may want to rent a car if you are planning on taking day trips to nearby attractions or would like more freedom to move around as you please.

Is Uber available in Merida?

Yes, Uber is available and is widely used within downtown Merida. That said, we would not advise planning on Ubering at the end of the Welcome Party or Wedding, given these locations are further from downtown Merida and it may take a while to contact a driver.

Can I bring my kids?

While we love kids, we are hoping to have an adults-only wedding except for close family. If you’re able to, we recommend that you leave your kids at home but if that is not an option, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.

What is the weather like in Merida at this time of year?

February is one of the driest months in Merida, and you should expect little rain. The temperature at this time of year is very pleasant, fluctuates between 19°C and 25°C (66°F and 77°F).

What is the dress code?

The Welcome Party will be Cocktail attire (navitage to this link for example outfits), while the Wedding will be Tropical Chic Formal attire (navitage to this link for example outfits). For the wedding, this means women should wear jumpsuits or floor length dresses, and men should wear suits (ties are optional!). We also encourage women to wear color and if possible, no black.

Please note that stilettos or thin heels are not advised for either of these events as the Welcome Party will be on grass and the Wedding is in an old hacienda with uneven ground.

How do I book additional travel, experiences, etc.?
